Happy Milford Monday! Summer is winding down but our little borough is still full of life. Between the farmers market, free music on the lawn, library programs, and a big outdoor family weekend at PEEC, here is what is on the calendar this week.

Story Time at the Pike County Public Library
11:00 AM & 2:00 PM · Main Library, 119 E. Harford St, Milford
Children ages 5 and under are invited to the Pike County Public Library for Story Time on Thursday mornings and afternoons. Expect books, movement, songs, and a craft. It is a lovely, low-key way to get little ones excited about reading.

Crafter's Circle at the Library
1:00 PM - 2:00 PM · Dingman Township Branch, 100 Bond Ct
Grown-ups, bring your current project and join fellow crafters for a relaxed weekly gathering at the Pike County Public Library's Dingman Township Branch. Knitting, crochet, embroidery, whatever you love, it is a friendly hour to create and connect. Free and open to ages 18 and up.

Thirsty Thursdays at Dingmans Ferry United Methodist Church
5:00 PM · 115 Myck Rd, Dingmans Ferry
A weekly community gathering featuring a light meal, praise, and fellowship. Open to all, it is a warm and welcoming way to spend a Thursday evening and get to know your neighbors across the river.

Labor Day Family Camp Weekend at PEEC
Starts 2:00 PM Friday, Sept 4 through Monday, Sept 7 · 538 Emery Rd, Dingmans Ferry
Spend the holiday weekend outdoors at the Pocono Environmental Education Center. Their Family Camp Weekend is a classic PEEC tradition, with guided hikes, hands-on nature programs, campfire time, and time to simply enjoy the forest around you. Great for families with kids of all ages.

Music on the Lawn
1:00 PM - 3:00 PM · Milford Community House, 201 Broad St
The Pike County Chamber of Commerce wraps up the summer with another free outdoor concert on the lawn of the historic Milford Community House. Bring your own lawn chair or blanket and enjoy local musicians in the late-summer sunshine. Saturday afternoons, weather permitting.

The Milford Farmers' Market is back every Sunday through late October, rain or shine. Stop by for fresh local produce, baked goods, and handmade crafts, and enjoy the small-town atmosphere while you shop.
Columns Museum
Wed - Sat 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM, Sun 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM · 608 Broad St, Milford
Step into Pike County history at the Columns Museum, home of the legendary Lincoln Flag and exhibits on Gifford Pinchot and the Lenape people. A wonderful outing for anyone curious about the story of this region.
The ARTery Gallery

The ARTery Gallery on Broad Street features rotating fine art exhibits by local Milford artists. Stop in to see new works and support Pike County's vibrant arts scene.
Grey Towers National Historic Site
122 Old Owego Turnpike, Milford
The historic home of conservationist Gifford Pinchot is open for guided mansion tours and self-guided strolls through its terraced gardens and grounds. Check the Grey Towers Heritage Association's events page for tour times and the last few concert evenings of the season.
Bells Across PA: "Nature Rings In"
Pike County · Through December 31
Pike County's semiquincentennial art installation, "Nature Rings In," is on view through the end of the year. Part of the statewide Bells Across PA project celebrating America's 250th anniversary, it is a colorful piece of local history worth seeking out.
Milford and the surrounding Pike County area really shine this time of year. Between the farmers market, free live music, library programs, and one last holiday weekend of outdoor adventures, there is something for everyone. Whether you have lived here your whole life or are just visiting, I hope you get out and enjoy it all.
